ABOUT BETSY CAIRO

Betsy Cairo PhD, HCLD, CSES is a Reproductive Biologist and is the founder and director of CryoGam Colorado, LLC. CryoGam is the only  commercial cryobank in Colorado.  She taught graduate and under- graduate courses at the University of Northern Colorado from 1995-201). Dr. Cairo’s experience in the field and classroom fueled her passion and created a vision for educating Colorado’s youth, its educators and its communities.

This passion drove her to create her non-profit Look Both Ways. This non-profit specializes in reproductive health education for all ages. She has written a text book on  reproductive health with the hopes of incorporating it into high schools across the nation.  In addition to the numerous presentation she has given over the years, she is most proud of her TedxMilieHigh talk she gave in 2016.

She is a board certified Reproductive Biologist from the American Association of Bioanalysis as a High Complexity Clinical Laboratory Director (HCLD). She is a certified sexuality educator supervisor by the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors and Therapist (CSES). She holds a BS in Animal Science from Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado and a PhD in Human Reproduction from the Union Institute, in Cincinnati, Ohio.
